Thanks to the various clauses and stipulations of FIFA's eligibility rules, it is possible for many players to choose from a host of national teams, based on their residency, parentage and ethnicity. It is also possible for them to switch from one national team to another, provided they have not already played a "competitive" match for the original one.

Inspired by the Spanish debut of Brazilian-born Diego Costa last week, here's a team of players who have been or are eligible for more than one national side.
