As of now, I've decided to create my own series on B/R titled "The Top 10."

In it I will talk about the Top 10 anything, It could be managers, players, referees, or even shoes.

And for my first topic, I would like to talk about the top 10 ridiculously overrated players in Football video games.

Ever played against a friend of your and he choose the team that has THAT guy.

That one character that is far superior to everyone else that you should just quit before the match even starts, the only other option you have is to simply choose the exact same team that he choose and play with that guy yourself.

Note: The players I'm about to put here are players I respect and are actually the best in the business, It's just that when the video game creators made their attributes, they forgot that they were human beings.

I am by no means saying that anyone on the list is overrated; I'm saying that the developers messed up.

No 10. Adriano (PES 2007 for the PS2)

MILAN, ITALY - FEBRUARY 15: Adriano of Inter Milan controls the ball during the Serie A match between Inter Milan and AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on February 15, 2009 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by New Press/Getty Images)

Adriano was the cover boy for PES 2007 so naturally, we all knew he was gonna be awesome.

But to simply put his Shot power bar at 99 is plain crazy.
His leg was strong but in the game, it was just too much for us to handle.

All it takes is one shot from Adriano and the score changes, to make matters worse, you could put him to shoot the Free kicks and shot at the goalkeeper instead of over the wall, and STILL the ball would fumble in the back of the net

No.9 Thierry Henry (FIFA 2007 for the XBOX and PS2)

Ask anyone no matter who he is, who is the first player they bought in manager mode in FIFA 2007 and they will tell you it was Henry.

An Impressive 90 overall was well deserved, but to put Henry strong in EVERY aspect of the game (Goalkeeping skills excluded) was the main reason we all had him in the shopping list of manager mode.

Because of how expensive he was in the game, some players would just put him in their team from the options before they started manager mode.

No. 8 Fake Maradona (PES 2008 for the PS3)

28 SEP 1992: DIEGO MARADONA OF SEVILLE LEAPS UP TO CONTROL THE BALL DURING THE SEVILLE V BAYERN MUNICH MATCH PLAYED IN THE SANCHEZ PIZJUAN STADIUM IN SEVILLE.

Although the name was something like MARAGALI (Mainly because of License issues), the Fake Maradona was from another planet.

His attributes were either a 99, 98 or 97 in anything attacking realated.

You would just run with him and watch your friends curse at you telling you that your playing with an edited fake player (Sore Losers).

No.7 Ibrahimovic (PES 2008 for the PS3 and PS2)

MILAN, ITALY - FEBRUARY 01: Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Inter and Paolo Della Fiore of Torino during the Serie A match between Inter Milan and Torino at the Meazza Stadio on February 01, 2009 in Turin, Italy. (Photo by New Press/Getty Images)

Now, when you talk about Ibra Technique and Balance comes to mind,
the PES creators thought so too.

Ibra's technique was 95 but his Body Balance was a deadly 97.

No one, and I mean no one could knock Ibra off his feet, If you did he would get a foul (No kidding), the only way to knock him was by tackling him and getting either a yellow card or a red card in the process.

No. 6 Some guy named McDonald (FIFA 1998 for the PC)

NASHVILLE - APRIL 01: Memebers of the U.S. National Team (L-R) Frankie Hejduk #2, Clint Dempsey #8, Jozy Altidore #17, Michael Bradley #12, Oguchi Onyewu #5, Brian Ching #11, Tim Howard #1, Carlos Bocanegra #3, Pablo Mastroeni #4, DaMarcus Beasley #7 and

I couldn't even get a picture for this guy, so I had to settle for the current U.S.A national team.

I was playing FIFA 98 as a kid, while messing with the transfers I found some guy in, what I think was Toronto F.C.

And the guy was extremely overrated, he was all 99's and the problem was,
WHO IS HE?

If anyone could remember this guy please tell me.

No.5 Roberto Carlos (Winning Eleven 3 for the PS)

Roberto was so Extremely over the top, that me along with every other guy who played this game put him as a CF instead of a LB.

You would just run like Hell and shoot, and that was the end of it right there.

This strategy was used so much that sometimes, when I played against someone I didn't know, we would do the EXACT same thing, we'd choose Brazil and put Roberto Carlos as a CF.

No.4 Batistuta (Winning Eleven 4 for the PS)

17 Dec 2000: Gabriel Batistuta of Roma in action during the Italian Serie A match against Lazio played at the Stadio Olimpico, in Rome, Italy. Roma won the match 1-0. \ Mandatory Credit: Ross Kinnaird /Allsport

This guy had it all, Shot Power, Balance, Attack, you name it.

I have a cousin who I destroy in every football game we play, he once choose Argentina and the match ended 6 - 0, now that shows how strong Batistuta was in the good ol' days.

No.3 Samuel Eto'o (Both FIFA and PES 2008 for the PS3)

BARCELONA, SPAIN - MAY 10: Samuel Eto'o of Barcelona celebrates after scoring his team's second goal during the La Liga match between Barcelona and Villarreal at the Nou Camp stadium on May 10, 2009 in Barcelona, Spain. (Photo by Denis Doyle/Getty Image

Eto'o is great, no doubt about it.

He scored the first goal in the CL final and he scored over 20 goals in La Liga this season.

But he was put just too strong in both the games when there were so many players who deserved to have higher attributes than his.

No.2 Patrick M'boma (Winning Eleven 4 for the PS)

NIIGATA - JUNE 1: Patrick Mboma of Cameroon during the 2002 FIFA World Cup - First Round, Group E match between the Republic of Ireland v Cameroon played at the Niigtata Prefectual Stadium, Niigata, Japan on June 1, 2002. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. (

The Master League in WE 4 was very, very hard at It's beginning, all the players were fake and useless and all the real life great players were very expensive.

The answer to that problem was none other than Patrick M'boma, he was so cheap in the game and his attributes were all full.

Heck, even when you made your Dream Team he was still in the starting 11.

And the No.1 Most Ridiculously Overrated Player is (Drum Roll please).

No.1 Ronaldo ( World Cup 98 for the PC)

25 Mar 1998: Portrait of Ronaldo of Brazil before the International friendly against Germany at the Neckarstadion in Stuttgart in Germany. Brazil won 2-1. \ Mandatory Credit: Mark Thompson /Allsport

Back in his days, Ronaldo was in my opinion the best player Brazil ever had (Better than Pele even).

He won Player of the year 3 times, so that alone proves how talented he was.

But World Cup 98 took his talent to a whole new level.

Ronaldo was full in everything so much so ,that if you were to take him form the first team and put him in the reserves, HALF of Brazil's attributes would decrease....... IN EVERYTHING, Attack, Defense, Technique and Goalkeeping (Wow, talk about a 1 man army).

It didn't matter that they had Romario, Rivaldo, Cafu, Roberto Carlos or Bebeto.

Nope, it was all about O Phenomenon, and when the strongest team on the planet loses half it's strength because of one 22 year old, then you have to admit that the developers were high on Crack.

Hope you enjoyed it, sure you're opinion would probably be different than mine but you gotta admit that some of these players deserved to make it on the list.
