Here's reason No. 1 as to why parents should want their kids to play for Michigan State coach Tom Izzo.

Many coaches will make a point to get the seniors out of the game for one final ovation at their last home game. That usually happens after a foul or a timeout, but Izzo got creative during the Spartans' senior night on Thursday.

With just over one minute remaining against Iowa, Izzo wanted to get his senior starters out of the game and get senior Dan Chapman into the game. Instead of taking a timeout, the Spartans coach instructed his team to throw the ball out of bounds.

What a great way to honor your seniors.
