NHL Trade Deadline 2014 Tracker: Live Updates, Reaction and Analysis
USA Today

It was a reasonably low-key deadline day in the National Hockey League on Wednesday.

Early in the day, the Tampa Bay Lightning sent disgruntled captain Martin St. Louis to the New York Rangers in exchange for soon-to-be free agent Ryan Callahan, but that was the biggest deal to transpire.

Fans waited until the last minute to see pending free agents like Thomas Vanek and Matt Moulson get moved, while other teams made smaller moves to address salary and team depth needs.

While the Vancouver Canucks shocked the hockey world by trading Roberto Luongo on Tuesday, much-coveted center Ryan Kesler stays put for the time being.

Teams will now turn their focus to the playoffs and the upcoming 2014 NHL draft.
