The Mail’s Martin Samuel has penned a column which suggests Manchester United are 20 years behind the times on account of the success the club had under the Sir Alex Ferguson regime.

United are well off the pace and it has been a season of toil under David Moyes.

But are they 20 years behind the times, and what needs to be done to remedy the problems?
