The big stories of Week Two will center around the major programs, but one that shouldn't be overlooked is that of South Florida.
After beating Auburn on ESPN2, USF should be ranked.
- B/R Ticket Guide
Will they be?
No.
In fact, I expect Auburn to get more votes in the polls than USF.
USF came out on top by sticking to their game plan and winning the turnover battle (+5). Auburn's defense swarmed to the ball all game long, but USF kept pounding it on the ground (52 attempts). The Bulls capped off the win with a touchdown pass after five straight rushes in overtime.
USF will now have two weeks to prepare for home games against the University of North Carolina and West Virginia (conference opener). Keep an eye on them as the season progresses.

The Bulls have a great secondary that easily kept the inconsistent Cox in check. I am interested to see how they play against UNC with two weeks of preparation. Another big win from USF will force the AP voters to rank USF in the top 25.

Well, they're #26 in the AP poll. They looked really fast against Auburn. You've got to think they knock off Carolina at home, right? That would set up a helluva game against WVU.

They will probably be ranked after week 3. You have to remember that the number of unbeaten teams will start to dwindle now as the conference scedules begin. At least 9 unbeatens will fall in week three.

I missed the upcoming bye week. You're right...they're a shoe in.
