But it's fair to say that was probably one of the few things that did go entirely to plan as Spurs advanced to the last 16 of the Europa League with a 3-1 victory at White Hart Lane over the Ukrainian side Dnipro. A goal down after the first leg, Spurs would have been looking to reduce the deficit early in the game to ease the pressure before killing off their opponents in the second.
