Despite a career-high 31 points from Bryce Alford, the UCLA Bruins came up just short against the Oregon Ducks in double-overtime. The Ducks were led by Mike Moser, who grabbed a career-high 20 rebounds and Joseph Young, who scored 26.
Playing without their two best players, Jordan Adams and Kyle Andersen, UCLA came out extremely flat and went into halftime trailing by 12 points. However, the Bruins mounted a valiant comeback in the second half, led by Alford and capped off by David Wear's buzzer-beating three-pointer that would send it to OT.
In the end, Oregon was able to do just enough to get the win. This victory definitely helps their NCAA Tournament chances, but against a UCLA team missing their two best players, this was not the marquee victory that it would appear to be on paper.
