During a segment with the Wyatt Family on Monday night, John Cena appeared to suffer a legitimate knee injury.

As Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked Cena, he appeared to suffer some sort of injury when Rowan took him down awkwardly. Cena hobbled around before being tended to by a trainer and was eventually taken out on a stretcher and into an ambulance, as the WWE Twitter feed gave us a look:

The fact that the injury and ambulance trip were both played up by the announcers may suggest that it was kayfabe, but Richard Gray of Wrestling News World reported that it was in fact a real injury, while ABC's Ryan Slocum tweeted a picture of what appeared to be Cena's dislocated knee.

If that turns out to be true, hopefully it's nothing serious.

While Cena is the most polarizing superstar in the business, there's no question that he is a huge draw for the company. Even if he isn't in the title picture, he would obviously be a major part of WrestleMania.

It appeared that was going to be a storyline with the red-hot Bray Wyatt, and it would be slightly disappointing to see that feud put on hold.

We'll be sure to keep you updated as more information becomes known.
