Amy Purdy dreamed of snowboarding her entire life. All the Las Vegas native wanted to do with her adult years was travel the world, letting her work and snowboarding passions guide her on the journey.

But unlike many others with big dreams, Purdy actually realized hers. Today, she's snowboarding and traveling the globe. She's even been announced as part of the cast of the next season of Dancing With the Stars.

But before the limelight was cast on Purdy, she had to risk everything in order to realize her dreams.
