Louisville 58, Cincinnati 57
Russ Smith stepped up when his team needed him the most as he delivered a clutch assist and a game-winning shot in No. 11 Louisville's 58-57 win over No. 7 Cincinnati.
Smith delivered a terrific assist to Montrezl Harrell on the second-to-last Cardinals possession of the game before he drilled a jumper with two seconds left to win the game.
Smith scored just 10 points in the game, but he once again was the difference maker for Louisville.
Harrell had a dominant game in the paint with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
In the loss for Cincinnati, Sean Kilpatrick scored a game-high 28 points, but the lack of an inside game killed the Bearcats.
Justin Jackson picked up two fouls early in the first half and never found a rhythm inside.
With four games left in the regular season, the Cardinals trail the Bearcats by just half a game in the AAC standings.
