The men's curling competition at the 2014 Winter Olympics came to a conclusion as Canada defeated Great Britain 9-3.

Canada won gold in Vancouver and Brad Jacobs emulated Kevin Martin by landing an Olympic title for a curling-mad nation.

Jennifer Jones' rink took women's gold for the Canucks on Thursday.

British skip David Murdoch’s rink of Michael Goodfellow, Scott Andrews and Greg Drummond reached this stage after two nerve-jangling games but buckled under the pressure.

The Scottish quartet conceded after eight ends with the gap too large.
