The WWE is like what some people believe is happening to the Simpsons; it's declining in quality after so many great moments throughout the years.
Sure, there are still signs of life, but as long as there is no major competition (Vince McMahon doesn't see TNA as competition, nor does he even watch), WWE will continue to flounder.
Here are the five things that have aided in that slow slide downhill for the E.
In what was basically a five-month McMahon feud, The Invasion got a lot of wrestling fans hopes up just to shoot them down.
I mean, in order for the Alliance to have a chance, they needed two of WWE's top stars to defect over to the McMahon siblings.
Great workers like Lance Storm, Booker T, DDP among others were made to look like a joke in the eyes of WWE fans. It was just a complete waste of time.
It's a shame when WWE shoves things down our throats that really aren't entertaining or funny. I have never been a fan of the Goldust character.
Hornswoggle is annoying. And when Jillian Hall sings, it gives me a headache.
I do find superstars like Khali and Santino entertaining, but do try to find something funnier than a hog pen match.
Also, contrary to the picture, I dig Kung Fu Naki.
Not only did they bury this title by giving it to Hornswoggle, the WWE just decided to get rid of the belt altogether.
This makes good workers like Brian Kendrick, Chavo Guerrero, Funaki, and Jamie Noble become comedy acts and jobbers to the stars.
Those wrestlers deserve better than that. Instead of that we get the divas championship. Speaking of Divas...
WWE really set themselves up for this one. The search basically consisted of eye candy.
While some have improved by leaps and bounds (Melina, Michelle McCool, Candice Michelle, Layla is using her off days to improve in the ring) most of are able to work a forgettable match at best.
WWE needs to find more Mickie James, Beth Phoenix, Gail Kim's, and Natalya's rather than trying to find the next Sunny.
Not 10 years ago was tag team wrestling was a hot commodity in the WWE. It's ridiculous that tag teams in this company mean so little in the company.
Nowadays, all of the tag tams take a backseat to the Triple H's and John Cena's and Batista's of the world.'
It's interesting to note that TNA has more tag teams than the ENTIRE WWE (TNA makes up basically one WWE brand). Just something worth noting.
