Adding to all the possible shapes WWE Wrestlemania XXX may take, the latest word about the event presents a number of returns and matchups with varying degrees of plausibility.

Who will compete for the Divas Championship, whether fans should expect Chris Jericho to be on the card and if Cody Rhodes and Goldust will fight as expected are among the biggest WrestleMania topics being discussed this week.

In recent interviews, Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels both gave fans reasons to speculate about the upcoming pay-per-view. Meanwhile, Roddy Piper continues to lobby to be a part of the event.

Will he recreate the first WrestleMania main event in some fashion or is a student versus (retired) teacher battle featuring "The Heartbreak Kid" more likely?

Buzz-Creating Interviews

It seems Michaels doesn't know how to squash rumors, or else he is teasing that a dream match could actually happen.

For Michaels, there has long been talk about him coming back for a match against Daniel Bryan. PWInsider, via WrestleZone.com, reported back in December, "If HBK does indeed agree to work one more match, WWE wants it to be a singles match against Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30."

Michaels cost Bryan the WWE title at Hell in a Cell with a superkick to the chin. The two then clashed on Raw, Bryan cranking his former instructor's neck back in the "Yes!" Lock.

In an interview with Renee Young on WWE.com, he reinvigorated the rumor mill. Young asked him whom his dream match at WrestleMania would be against. He said, "That's an easy one for me. It would have to be Daniel Bryan."

Michaels did go on to also add The Wyatt Family, Damien Sandow and Dolph Ziggler as hypothetical foes, but mentioning Bryan here is enough to get fans buzzing, regardless of the improbability of this meeting of ring wizards.

"The Texas Rattlesnake" spoke about a man who many have longed to see face him at WrestleMania—CM Punk.

When asked for his thoughts on Punk's departure, Austin told Jim Ross on his podcast, "CM Punk will re-appear for WrestleMania XXX. Mark my words—that's my prediction."

Austin knows what Punk is experiencing better than anyone else. In 2002, he departed in a similarly unexpected and abrupt fashion.

His prediction is no promise of a Punk return, but it certainly gives fans something to talk about, wondering if "Stone Cold" will prove prophetic.

Goldust vs. Cody Rhodes

As of now, Goldust and Rhodes are tag team partners.

Still, many fans expect them to split. Earlier this month, F4WOnline, via WrestlingInc.com, reported that there are plans for Cody vs. Goldust at WrestleMania XXX.

Goldust tweeted last week that this wasn't going to happen.

Rhodes has since offered another tweet, one that warrants speculation that it is in response to his brother.

He could also just be referencing fans who believe they know how the road to WrestleMania will play out or backstage reports trying to give folks a glimpse of the match card.

The above report mentions that the brothers may break up at Elimination Chamber. Should they make it through that event still united, it will look far more likely that Goldust was right all along.

Word on Divas Championship Match

The Women's Championship has been defended on "The Grandest Stage of Them All," but the Divas Championship has yet to receive that spotlight. It looks as if WWE planned to showcase that title at WrestleMania only to have injury get in the way.

Per Wrestling Observer (via WrestlingInc.com):

There are still no word on plans for the WWE Divas Title at WrestleMania XXX. The original plan, before Naomi got injured, was for her to face AJ Lee in New Orleans. Naomi would likely have won the title as part of a storyline on the next season of Total Divas.

Naomi is expected to be out for about four to six weeks, per WWE.com. That puts her out of consideration unless she mimics John Cena's healing rate.

AJ vs. Tamina Snuka or having AJ face Lita are among the best options available.

Tamina has shown signs of resentment toward the woman she's been protecting, so there's an easy story to tell there. She is one of the better in-ring performers in the division and offers a fresher matchup than Natalya or one of The Bella Twins challenging AJ.

Tamina Snuka and AJ Lee, WrestleMania opponents?

Lita will be back to join the WWE Hall of Fame. Perhaps WWE can convince her to follow that up with a return to the ring.

Chris Jericho Coming Back?

WrestleMania season is filled with returning stars. Batista is back. Undertaker is expected to return on Feb. 24, per PWInsider, via PWMania.com.

What about "The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla"? A recent appearance at the Superdome, home of WrestleMania XXX, saw one suspicious fan detect something that wasn't there and Jericho laughed it off.

Jericho is scheduled to appear at Wizard World Comic Con in St. Louis, Mo., the day before WrestleMania. While he could certainly fly to New Orleans in time for the show, it's enough of a scheduling conflict to temper one's hopes of Jericho competing at WWE's Super Bowl.

Jericho fans will be happy to hear that his band, Fozzy, isn't booked for any dates until after WrestleMania, though.

Punk's departure makes Jericho much more needed, as the event's star power took a hit. Whether or not Jericho is planning a return, expect WWE to try to seduce him with a hefty check.
