Bayern Munich have one foot in the Champions League quarter-finals after beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates, and rubbed their noses in it with a celebratory poem on Twitter:
Von London es nach Bayern schallt, amazing match with good result! Sorry gunners that we won we're on the way to Lissabon 😄 ^lehm #AFCFCB— FC Bayern München (@FCBayern) February 20, 2014
Rhyming in two languages is impressive, although as Henry Winter of the Daily Telegraph pointed out, it doesn't quite rank on the level of some of Germany's finest writing:
. @fcbayern leave London with a tweeted poem: "Sorry Gunners that we won; we're on our way to Lissabon". More Gotze than Goethe— Henry Winter (@henrywinter) February 20, 2014
For non-German speakers, Lissabon is the German spelling of Lisbon. Who'd back against Bayern being there for the final on current form?
