Auburn Blows Chance to Beat No. 2 Florida by Committing Absurd Intentional Foul

With the game tied 66-66 and just 20.7 seconds remaining in the SEC showdown between No. 2 Florida and unranked Auburn, Chris Denson of the Auburn Tigers missed a free throw. What came next was truly absurd.

In a gaffe of epic proportions, center Asauhn Dixon-Tatum intentionally fouled Florida's Patric Young, putting him at the stripe to shoot two. Young made both, putting the Gators up by two points with 19.4 seconds left. Auburn's last chance to tie or win was similarly unsuccessful—they botched the inbounds pass and Florida went on to win the ballgame 71-66.
