Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was arrested Tuesday morning and briefly jailed just before 4:30 a.m. ET at Gwinnett County Jail on a failure-to-appear warrant, according to Mike Morris of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Per Morris, the 32-year-old initially failed to appear in court for a traffic violation that charged him with having non-transparent material on his windows.

The four-time Pro Bowler didn't appear to be overly concerned as evidenced by his mugshot, courtesy of Fox 5 Atlanta:

White was released in just over an hour after paying a $168 bond, according to Alex Marvez of Fox Sports 1:

Marvez noted that White isn't the first Falcons player to get in hot water over window-tinting issues:

Now that White can move past his minor legal problems, the focus shifts to the upcoming 2014 season.

The Falcons were shockingly bad in 2013 after falling just short of reaching the Super Bowl one year earlier. Injuries were a big contributing factor, and White was not effective for much of the season due to a high ankle sprain.

White had just 711 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. That marked his first failure to break 1,000 yards since picking up 506 in 2006. He was coming off a 92-catch, 1,351-yard, seven-touchdown season in 2012.

2014 is the last year on his current deal. White has spent nine years in Atlanta, and he would like to stay even longer, according to Daniel Cox of, via 680 The Fan.

I do want to stay here for the rest of my career. It's been really good these nine years. ... We're working to try to get something done. They want me to be here, I want to be here, so let's make it happen.

White's future in Atlanta depends largely upon his production in 2014, and there is reason to believe that he will return to form provided he is healthy.

If he does, there is certainly hope for the Falcons to do the same after a nightmarish 2013 campaign.
