Kareem Abdul-Jabbar knows great basketball when he sees it, but sometimes great players get mixed up.

In an Instagram picture with Washington Wizards point guard John Wall, the NBA's all-time leading scorer congratulated the young player on his MVP award, captioning the photo with "Congrats #JohnWall on your All Star MVP - it's gonna be a great year!"

Only, it was Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers who took home 2014 All-Star Game MVP honors.

At least Kareem was right about one thing in his post. All-Star John Wall is having a great year.
