Team Canada defeated Switzerland in the women's hockey semifinal to advance to the gold-medal game against the United States on Thursday.
Natalie Spooner had a pair of first-period goals and Mélodie Daoust added another goal just 23 seconds after Spooner's second tally to give Canada a 3-0 lead.
The Swiss answered in the second period with a power-play goal by Jessica Lutz, but it was really Swiss goaltender Florence Schelling who gave her team a chance to compete after surrendering the early three goals, as she turned away 45 of 48 shots in the loss.
