Winter Olympics 2014: Previewing USA's Best Chances for Gold on Day 9

Day 9 of the Sochi Olympics is all about redemption and putting an end to the skiing and speedskating droughts for the United States.

First, Ted Ligety and Bode Miller will compete in the Super G Alpine event, vying for the first U.S. Men's Alpine medal in Sochi.

Then, Brittany Bowe and Heather Richardson will compete in the 1,500-meter event, eyeing the first speedskating medal of any type for the U.S. in 2014.

To top it all off, one snowboarder has a shot to erase some personal bad history at the Olympics.
