When Perth Glory picked up an indirect free-kick on the edge of the six-yard box in their game with Sydney FC in the A-League on Saturday, the home side put every single player on the goal line to block the effort.

It was a bizarre moment—but as a tactic, it worked. Perth tried to blast through the wall of bodies before William Gallas tried to shovel in the rebound unsuccessfully.

It was an important moment for Sydney, who went on to win the game 2-1.
