Dion Waiters and Tim Hardaway Jr. Go Off in NBA Rising Stars Challenge

Just like everyone expected, there was a one-on-one battle between Cleveland Cavaliers sophomore Dion Waiters and New York Knicks rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. during the NBA Rising Stars Challenge on Friday.

OK, maybe not, but the two players went off during the second half of the game, draining three-pointer after three-pointer while trading blows for more than a few minutes. You can see the highlights of their exchange below.

It was safe to say that Kevin Durant approved.

Waiters finished with a surprising 31 points on 10-of-14 shooting while Hardaway went off for 36 points on 12-of-23 shooting, including 7-of-16 from behind the arc.

Team Hill went on to win 142-136 over Team Webber.
