Jeff Carter had a natural hat trick and Roberto Luongo made 23 saves to earn a shutout as Canada blanked Austria 6-0.

Canada played a much stronger all-around game than they did against Norway. The only possible criticism is that the Austrians had too many odd-man rushes during the game, but Luongo took care of all of them.

Patrick Marleau had three assists for Canada who took the lead early and were never really challenged in this game.

Canada is now 2-0 in the tournament with a 9-1 goal differential. Austria falls to 0-2.

With the shutout, does Mike Babcock stick with Luongo or go back to Carey Price for the rest of this tournament?
