Dusty Baker must have some kind of strange confidence in Josh Fogg and Bronson Arroyo that nobody else can really see.
Both pitchers are getting teed off on this year, putting up combined stats of 1-5 with almost a 9.00 ERA.
It seems to only make sense to bring up Homer Bailey, who is putting up another great season at 3-1 with a 1.03 ERA to go along with a 4-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Now, Fogg seems like the one to send down with an ERA above 10 and much less of an upside than Arroyo. However, I would send Fogg and Todd Coffey down and send Arroyo to the bullpen.
Coffey had an ERA near 6.00 last season and is putting up a 5.06 ERA this season. This leaves a roster spot open for a pitcher that I would use to call up Promising Double-A right hander Daryl Thompson.
Thompson has put up a 2-0 record this year to go along with a 0.76 ERA and 25 strikeouts in just under 24 innings pitched and only one walk.
With a fastball that touches 94 and a promising curve, Thompson looks to be on the team by mid-June at the latest.
These moves could be the moves that put the Reds back on the map.

The only problem I have with bringing up Bailey is the only stats we can look at with him are the ones where he pitched late last year and the ones this year in AAA. Look at Belisle's stats in AAA this year before he got called up and the struggles he is facing now. Nothing can compare to the hitters in MLB.
