Blake Griffin scored 36 points, Jamal Crawford added 25 and the Los Angeles Clippers outlasted the Portland Trail Blazers, 122-117, in a thriller at the Staples Center on Wednesday night.

This game was tight the entire way, featuring 18 ties and 40 lead changes.

Griffin was sensational, going 13-of-21 from the floor and 10-of-12 from the free-throw line, all 12 of his free throws coming in the second half. He also grabbed 10 rebounds.

Chris Paul notched a double-double, posting 20 points and 12 assists in just his second game back from a shoulder injury.

As a team, the Clippers shot 58.2 percent from the floor and went 26-of-31 from the charity stripe. They amassed 58 points in the paint and an incredible 34 fast break points.

The Blazers, as per usual, did much of their damage from beyond the arc, burying 13 triples. They shot 51.2 percent from the floor overall, but only recorded 36 points in the paint and six fast break points.

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 13 of his 25 in the first quarter. Damian Lillard dropped 21, but he committed six turnovers and spent most of the second half in foul trouble.

Los Angeles has now won three straight games while Portland has dropped six of its last nine.

These two teams will meet once more in their last contest of the regular season, a matchup that could have significant playoff implications in terms of seeding.

The Blazers and Clippers have split their two meetings so far, with Portland winning at home back on Dec. 26.
