Behind a monster second half from Tim Duncan, the injury-plagued San Antonio Spurs (38-15) won on the road against the Boston Celtics (19-35) by a final score of 104-92 on Wednesday night.
Duncan scored 23 of his 25 points after the halftime break as he put on a clinic against Boston's younger, smaller big men. He also grabbed nine rebounds.
Four other Spurs hit double figures. Boris Diaw scored 18. Marco Belinelli and Patty Mills each scored 16. And Cory Joseph added 11.
Belinelli nearly collected a triple-double as he also had 11 rebounds and eight assists.
Rajon Rondo led the Celtics with 16 points. Kris Humphries and Kelly Olynyk each added 15. Olynyk notched his second-straight double-double as he grabbed 10 rebounds as well.
