When you get a chance to host a worldwide event, it's important to leave a lasting impression. Russia did exactly that with an awesome feature on the roof of Sochi's Bolshoy Ice Dome.

Coming up with a great design for the inside of a building is a necessity, but we rarely see the outside of arenas decked out.

The Bolshoy Ice Dome—which opened in 2012—has hosted hockey games during the 2014 Winter Olympics. The inside may be nice for those in attendance, but the roof helps those who didn't buy tickets to the game.

Yahoo! Sports' Greg Wyshynski got a picture after the score had changed:

It's so high-tech that it flashes a puck when a team scores. Awesome.
