Canada 3, USA 2   Women's Ice Hockey FINAL

Team Canada scored three goals in the 3rd period to edge Team USA 3-2 in a game between the two top seeds in women's hockey.

Charline Labonte played a very strong game in goal for Canada while Meghan Agosta-Marciano scored twice to lead the Canadian attack.

American goalie Jessie Vetter played well but let in a controversial goal early in the third period that she failed to cover. Hayley Wickenheiser grabbed the loose puck and gave Canada a lead they never relinquished. Team USA thought the whistle had blown and that the goal should not have counted.

The game was well played and entertaining throughout. Expect these two bitter rivals to meet again for the gold medal in Sochi.
