Russ and Ed from Editors dropped in to Bleacher Report U.K. to pay us a visit, and tell us a few stories about their memories of football.
With bassist Russ Leetch supporting Aston Villa and drummer Ed Lay a fan of Ipswich Town, it's not exactly a glory-filled life following their teams.
Still, there are highs, as Russ thinks back long and hard before recalling the glory of the 1994 and 1996 League Cup victories.
Even that success trumps Ed's moment of glory—Ipswich Town's play-off triumph in the 2000 play-off final.
The duo have been part of the band for over a decade, and have put out four albums, including 2013's The Weight of Your Love.
That record, says Ed, "just sounds like us playing in a room, [...] it's a very honest piece of work."
And naturally, the conversation often ends up turning to football.
"I did see Ipswich play Villa last year in the FA Cup," Ed recalls, "and that was at Villa Park. And we played them off the park... for the first 45 minutes..."
"You did," Russ laughs, knowing how the story ends.
"And you know obviously, we didn't score, they came out straight away and nailed us."
So with that in mind we asked them to sum up their teams—and a few others—in one word. Take a look at the video for the verdicts.
