Philadelphia Eagles Look for Success in 2009

What can you say about a team that has eight playoff appearances, gone to five NFC Championships, winning one, and came only inches away from winning their very first Super Bowl in Franchise History?

Sure, a lot of heat has been on the Eagles for not getting over the hump and earning a Super Bowl win.

But given how they handled the beginning of the '09 season, and how they've stocked up on offense and added youth to a once-aged team, they have a greater chance than they had in '04 to get over that hump and actually get their first Lombardi Trophy.

Call me optimistic, call me crazy—but with their consistent success rate, expect a celebration down Fifth Avenue soon.
