Defensive back Minkah Fitzpatrick is one of the top prospects in the 2015 class. Like many other recruits, he has excelled on the football field from a very young age.
However, the 5-star New Jersey native has already overcome a tragedy that most will never have to endure in a lifetime.
In August 2011, Hurricane Irene struck the New Jersey coastline one week before Fitzpatrick's freshman season. His house was destroyed, forcing him and his family to evacuate.
The Fitzpatrick family was kind enough to give Bleacher Report access into their lives, to tell a story not only of hardship, but perseverance as well.
Watch the video and witness the power of family and its support of a young man's dream.
