Watching the Six Nations can be a bit testy for all of us. Tempers flare, passions rise, tweets are tweeted. For One Direction star Niall Horan, that last point had an unintended consequence. You see, the Irish Horan had 140 characters of anger to direct at Wales' Mike Phillips in the midst of Ireland's 26-3 win on Saturday, as seen below:
Mike Philips is like a child throwing his toys out of the pram! his attitude is terrible, looks like a right arrogant idiot— Niall Horan (@NiallOfficial) February 8, 2014
Unfortunately for Horan, Phillips also uses twitter, and he didn't take kindly to the young pop star's harsh words.
.@NiallOfficial come down to training in the week big boy. Bring the rest of The Beatles with you— mike phillips (@mikephillips009) February 9, 2014
Don't worry though, One Direction fans. Irish full-back Rob Kearney has rushed to Horan's defence.
Now there's nothing to do but sit back, grab your snack of choice, and wait for two fully-grown rugby stars to have a scrap over a 20-year-old's tweet.
