American figure skater Ashley Wagner, making her Olympic debut Saturday, appeared shocked when she looked up at the board to see that she had only scored a 63.10 in the team ladies short program event.
The 22-year-old, who clearly expected a much higher score, was trying to make a big statement in the event after a tough performance at the U.S. Championships back in January.
Wagner placed fourth in the event. Russian Yulia Lipnitskaya, 15, finished first with a score of 72.90.
Wagner's reaction says it all.
