Germany's Maria Hoefl-Riesch successfully defended her 2010 Olympic Super Combined title, winning the event again Monday at the Rosa Khutor Alpine Center.

Hoefl-Riesch, who was fifth after the downhill portion of the event earlier in the day, had the third-best slalom time to win gold by 0.4 seconds over Austria's Nicole Hosp.

American Julia Mancuso took the bronze, finishing 0.53 seconds behind Hoefl-Riesch. She led after the downhill, but wasn't able to do better than 13th in the slalom.
