Winter Olympics 2014: Previewing USA's Best Chances for Gold on Day 1

Day 1 of the Sochi 2014 Olympics starts with two solid gold-medal opportunities for the United States as it looks to better its 37-medal performance from Vancouver.

While 37 is the record for most medals by a single country in a Winter Olympics, the U.S. wouldn't mind setting the record again in Russia.

That'll be up to the likes of Chas Guldemond and Hannah Kearney on Day 1 of competition.
