Chelsea-Manchester United: Champions League Final

Salaar ShamsiSenior Writer IApril 23, 2008

The Headline is sure to offend at least a 100 million supporters of Liverpool and Barcelona but after the first legs of Champions League semifinals were completed, one feels it is very likely that we will see Manchester United take on Chelsea in the final.

If you have a close look at the odds, you will notice Chelsea and United both have the second leg at home. Chelsea have an away goal to take into the game thanks to a late blunder by Riise. Which makes them strong favourites going to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea even under the controversial management of Avram Grant appear to be unbeatable at home.

Manchester United held on to an incredible draw against FC Barcelona at Nou Camp and Manchester United's home form and strength this season convinces one to bet on them to the make the flight to Moscow ahead of the Catalan Giants.

Enough said, these are just the odds. Remember anything is possible in football. Liverpool and Barcelona could be consoled by that statement but I would be surprised to see either of them in Moscow on the 21st of May.
