If the first half of Super Bowl XLVIII went bad for the Denver Broncos, the second half started off even worse.
The opening kickoff of the second half was short and bounced before Seattle Seahawks return man Percy Harvin fielded it. Once he took off with the ball, the Broncos couldn't catch up to him.
Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning gave his best "Manning face":
Here's the eerie stat of the game:
:12 into the 1st half, Seattle scored on a safety. :12 into the 2nd half, Seattle scored on a touchdown. Can't make this stuff up. #12thman— SportsCenter (@SportsCenter) February 3, 2014
It also marked the second straight year that the second half of the Super Bowl began with a kickoff return for a touchdown.
Harvin's 87-yard touchdown extended the Seahawks' lead to 29-0.
