Unranked Baylor may not be unranked for much longer, as the Bears stunned No. 8 Oklahoma State in Stillwater by a 76-70 margin. Point guard Gary Franklin, pressed into service by an injury to Kenny Chery, made a string of clutch shots down the stretch to secure the victory for the visitors.

Sniper Brady Heslip led Baylor with 20, 18 of them from beyond the arc. Rico Gathers came off the bench to score 14, while Franklin chipped in 11 along with five assists. Gathers' six rebounds were a big part of the Bears' 32-26 edge on the boards.

Markel Brown posted a game-high 24 for the Cowboys in the loss. Marcus Smart's numbers look impressive—15 points, six rebounds, seven assists, three steals—but they overstate his impact in a game in which OK State's offense struggled against Baylor's zone and took a lot of bad shots.

The defeat drops OK State to 4-4 in conference play, while Baylor gets just its second win in eight tries in the Big 12.
