Linebacker U is down a star linebacker.
Senior linebacker Sean Lee is out for the season with a torn ACL, as most PSU fans know by now.
Knowing Joe Paterno, he won't let young talent go to waste. JoePa will name Lee a captain and is expecting full responsibility from him.
Paterno hopes Lee will show his off-field leadership by helping the younger defensemen; especially the linebacking crew. It's almost like a back-up defensive coach.
However, Lee expects on-field leadership to come from players such as senior safety Anthony Scirrotto, senior cornerback Lydell Sargeant and senior defensive end Josh Gaines. Do they have what it takes?
Or the real question is, does Sean Lee have what it takes to show his leadership, and take this highly talented defensive unit to a big bowl game in 2008?
