In this update to the Franchiseplay Sports NBA 2K14 draft class for PlayStation 4, Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart, Australia’s Dante Exum and Kentucky’s Julius Randle have been created. This is the second update for the draft class; the previous one included Kansas’ Joel Embiid and Andrew Wiggins, as well as Duke’s Jabari Parker.

Keep in mind, these are unofficial creations that are completely unaffiliated with 2K Sports, but the content is still available for download in the roster share option.

In addition to adding Smart, Exum and Randle in this update, an increase to Embiid’s initial ratings has also been included.

Kansas’ super freshman big man has moved to the top of most draft boards, so it was only natural that he should receive a ratings boost in this update.

While most would agree Embiid and Wiggins have perhaps the most upside of any prospects, thus far, Smart and Parker have received the highest initial ratings of any collegiate prospects currently rated in FS’s ratings.

Smart and Parker each have 81 overall ratings, which is pretty high for a rookie in NBA 2K14. Some may take offense to Exum’s modest overall rating of 68, but he has been equipped with a very high mark in potential.

The ideology here is that without having had extensive experience against high-level American talent, it is hard to place Exum’s overall rating in the same category as Smart, Wiggins or Randle.

That said, one look at some of the footage available online, and the scouting reports show a 6’6” guard capable of handling the ball and scoring like a traditional wing player.

Perhaps he too will get a ratings boost in the next update. Here’s a running tally of the prospects completed up to this point:

  • Andrew Wiggins
  • Jabari Parker
  • Joel Embiid
  • Marcus Smart
  • Julius Randle
  • Dante Exum

Stay tuned for more updates to this draft class moving forward.
