Manchester City moved to the top of the Premier League with a 5-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have been in unstoppable form in recent weeks, and have not dropped any points since the 1-1 draw at Southampton on Dec. 7.

The victory at White Hart Lane saw City record their eighth successive Premier League win, in what appears to be a procession towards the title.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has already claimed City are the Premier League favourites, as reported by Dominic Fifield of The Guardian.

And Tottenham head coach Tim Sherwood said that Pellegrini's team were "on a different planet" after the defeat on Wednesday (via Darren Lewis of the Daily Mirror).

City play host to Chelsea on Monday in what could be a season-defining game with the Etihad Stadium club holding a three-point lead over the third-placed West London club in the title race.

So can anyone stop Manchester City from running away with the Premier League this season?

Chelsea can beat City. Also Liverpool. While Liverpool won't stop them, theyay be the only side capable of out-scoring City.
