Report: WWE Planning to Use Hulk Hogan as WrestleMania XXX Guest Host
from WWE.com

What will Hulk Hogan do at WrestleMania XXX?

Speculation has been rampant for months, mainly since the 60-year-old announced he was done with TNA, meaning a WWE return was simply inevitable.

Many fans would no doubt like to see him get in the ring and wrestle at WrestleMania XXX. But the star's well-documented physical problems seem to rule that out. (Even a tag team match where he would barely have to be in the ring and only take a couple of bumps at most may very well be beyond him.)

Meanwhile, over at his official Twitter account, WWE legend Roddy Piper has been pushing for a special WrestleMania edition of Piper's Pit, with Hogan as the guest.

Interestingly, Dave Meltzer claims in this week's (subscribers-only) Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the Hall of Famer is tentatively scheduled to serve the event, which takes place April 6 in New Orleans.

As things stood over the weekend, Hogan’s role in WrestleMania was to be the host of the show. It would be pushed the same way Rock’s return was before they shot the angle where he ended up as the referee. Right now Hogan isn’t scheduled to do anything physical and the story we’ve heard is he won’t be allowed to do so based on his physical.

Personally, I would have placed Hogan in John Cena's corner for his presumed match against Bray Wyatt on the show.

Barring possibly chasing Luke Harper or Erick Rowan around the ring a few times, Hogan wouldn't have to do anything physical.

Cena, too, could benefit from an alliance with the legend at such a high-profile show. Hogan would be so immensely popular with the crowd, some of it would inevitably be passed onto Cena.

But assigning him to the role of host seems to be a perfectly acceptable use of his star power and charisma—even if it is a bit predictable.
