On a day when classes are cancelled and all offices are closed in Athens, the UGA Bulldogs and Vanderbilt Commodores have declared that the show must go on. This was a hard-fought basketball game between two SEC teams, who both held an overall 10-8 record on the season.

This is the only time that the two teams will meet this year. The game was at the Bulldogs' Stegeman Coliseum. The record between these two teams when they play in Athens is 33-28, with the Bulldogs holding the lead. However, last year Vandy won a close 63-62 battle.

The Bulldogs could never come back after falling behind early in the game. A slow, rough start for the home team set the mood for the rest of their game. Rarely making three pointers and hanging on by the points they made with free throws was just not enough.

Vandy played a game of tight defense and several three pointers. It wasn't the cleanest game they've had all season but it was enough to get past the Dawgs on a cold, icy night in Athens.

Vandy beat UGA with a score of 59-54.
