NY Rangers vs. NY Islanders: Stadium Series Live Score, Updates and Analysis

Steve Silverman@@profootballboyFeatured ColumnistJanuary 29, 2014

The New York Rangers have proven to be the masters of outdoor hockey.

They held on for a 2-1 victory over the New York Islanders, as seldom-used Dan Carcillo scored the game-winning goal early in the third period.

Not only have the Rangers swept their two games at Yankee Stadium this season, they had defeated the Philadelphia Flyers in the Winter Classic in 2012.

They are 3-0 in outdoor games, a record that no other team can match.
