I came across an interesting piece over at Fangraphs.com, which breaks down the three-team trade, which brought J.J. Putz to the Mets. Looking back on the trade, the deal turned out to be a poor one for the Mets, they gave up seven players for two (with Putz on the DL) mediocre ones at best.

Newly acquired Met, Lance Broadway, certainly didn’t look great in his debut for the Buffalo Bisons. His final line for the night was 4.2 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 7 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO.

Ryan Church will come off the disabled list tomorrow, which leads to to an interesting roster move. Rather than sending their priced outfielder, Fernando Martinez back to the minor leagues the team will instead demote veteran Emil Brown.
