FIFA has imposed a lifetime ban on Lebanese referee Ali Sabbagh for a rather unique offence: fixing a match in return for sexual favours.

Sabbagh was jailed last June after he plead guilty to fixing a match in Singapore in return for free sex, according to this report, via khelnama.com.

Already banned by the Asian Football Confederation from attending or refereeing matches this month, FIFA extended its hand and banned Sabbagh worldwide for life, according to The New Zealand Herald.

Two of Sabbagh's assistants, Ali Eid and Abdallah Taleb, were handed 10-year bans by FIFA.
