Milan are now fully entrenched in the Clarence Seedorf era and have picked up six points in Serie A play from his first two games in charge.

With the January transfer window coming to a close, the Rossoneri will be looking to make a few final changes to switch into a new era of optimism.

Seedorf's 4-2-3-1 formation calls for players with a different tactical makeup than the previous regime, so expect Milan to be linked with a few more players before the transfer session closes.

According to both La Gazzetta and SKY Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, a swap between Parma and Milan which involved Riccardo Saponara and Jonathan Biabiany has failed because young Saponara rejected the move.

The speedster from Parma was ready to be a Rossonero, but yet again a Milan player has rejected a swap which could have improved the club. The thought of both Biabiany and Abate on a right flank is salivating, as it'd be one of the fastest in the world.

According to Football Italia, the Adel Taarabt for Cristian Zaccardo swap has been agreed on and the Moroccan could fly to Milan as early as Wednesday night.

Taarabt would be leaving Fulham to go on a season long loan with the Rossoneri where he could reignite a promising career.

In a brand new developing story, Sport Mediaset is reporting that Milan have agreed to exchanged Cristian Zaccardo for Fulham playmaker Adel Taarabt.

Taarabt has world-class skill but can be lazy in the defensive sector and has had his fair share of disciplinary problems. There is no official word yet, but this is definitely a story to watch out for.

Real Madrid left-back Fabio Coentrao has been linked with Milan, according to Football Italia.

The Portuguese defender has failed to establish himself in Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI, and could be a very useful player for Milan.

He can play a variety of positions, as a fullback or a defensive midfielder.

While initial reports (according to La Repubblica via Football Italiasuggested new signing Michael Essien failed his medicals, they now claim that he has passed them.

Football Italia has the report on the matter (through Sky Sport Italia and the Corriere dello Sport), and it's rumored that an old anterior cruciate ligament injury was to blame for any dubious claims about his health grade.

Philippe Mexes to Monaco?

Recent reports from Football Italia say that Philippe Mexes rejected an offer from Turkish side Trabzonspor as he's waiting for lavish Ligue 1 club Monaco to make their move.

Mexes hasn't featured yet under Seedorf and could be on his way out to a place where he can get consistent starts. He has been wildly inconsistent this season, as a positive performance has been negated by a boneheaded move or the risk of getting sent off.
