Carmelo Anthony followed up his 62-point performance with 35 against the Lakers and his New York Knicks (17-27) defeated the Los Angeles Lakers (16-29) by a final score of 110-103 on Sunday.
Anthony was less efficient, as he hit 14-of-31 from the field, but his five assists were tied with Raymond Felton for a team high.
Felton scored 20 on 8-of-10 shooting and Tyson Chandler added 13.
Tim Hardaway and J.R. Smith combined for 34 off the bench.
For the Lakers, five players reached double-figures, led by 24 from Jodie Meeks. Bur scoring wasn't the problem.
Once again, L.A.'s defense was torched as they gave up over 100 points for the 12th straight game. The last time a Lakers team had such a streak was during the 1988-89 season.
