The VCU Rams improved to 16-4 after surviving a double-overtime thriller against the La Salle Explorers, 97-89. The Explorers fall to 11-8 on the season.

The Rams have now won eight of their last nine games, while the Explorers have dropped their last two.

VCU was fueled by the play of Juvonte Reddic and Treveon Graham.

Reddic recorded 27 points (11-17), 15 rebounds and a block. Graham, who led the comeback late in the game, had 34 points (11-21), 12 rebounds and two assists.

The high man for the Explorers was Tyrone Garland who scored 30 points and dished out three assists.

With the victory, VCU leapfrogs to a second place tie with the George Washington Colonials in the Atlantic 10 standings.

VCU will try for their fourth win in a row at home against Fordham.

The Explorers will travel to D.C. to try to snap their two game losing streak against the Colonials.
