The 2014 WWE Royal Rumble figures to be one of the most unpredictable pay-per-views, from top to bottom, in recent memory. Batista has emerged as the front-runner after a very strong return, but with Daniel Bryan hotter than ever—and still not advertised to appear—will Goatface ride his palpable momentum to a “surprise” victory?
Given the hour that must be dedicated to the Royal Rumble match, there is no time for filler, which makes the Rumble a premier WWE pay-per-view. One of many well-thought-out matches will see the New Age Outlaws battle the Rhodes Dynasty. The stars seem to be aligning for a Rhodes Dynasty split, and a partisan Pennsylvania crowd will be more than happy to see the New Age Outlaws become six-time tag team champions, heel or not.
The Daniel Bryan-Bray Wyatt storyline appears as if it has been accelerated due to the national popularity “Yes!” chants received thanks to Michigan State. If that is the case, it will only make sense for Bryan to go over to give fans a happy ending. Losing, however, would make for an even bigger surprise should he go on to win the Royal Rumble that night.
All this and much more on a very Nasty Royal Rumble preview!
